Meet Seger Morris

Seger S. Morris, DO, MBA is an osteopathic physician board certified in Internal Medicine who practices primarily in Oxford, MS at Baptist Memorial Hospital - North Mississippi. He is experienced in both the inpatient setting as a hospitalist as well as the ambulatory setting as a primary care physician. As a third generation osteopathic physician, Dr. Morris believes in a whole person approach to care integrating the mind, body, and spirit with an emphasis on preventive care. He chose his practice location based on his passion for expanding access to care and improving health in the rural undeserved areas of the Southeastern United States through all efforts to grow the rural physician workforce.

In order to improve health at its most basic level, it’s vital that we understand and engage the regulatory stakeholders who create the systems within which we all must function. Regulatory policies are designed to influence behavior, and our collective health is an outcome of good and bad policies. It is for this reason that Dr. Morris is deeply involved in advocacy efforts surrounding both politics and health policy, leveraging knowledge he gained while completing the TIPS Health Policy Fellowship and his experience across an array of state and national advocacy settings.
