As an early-career physician, he led strategic initiatives in medical education, healthcare quality, and organizational strategy and operations. He speaks nationally on a range of professional development topics and has written popular peer-reviewed and perspective articles. He has served organized medicine at the local, state, and national levels, including as a member of the American Osteopathic Association Board of Trustees, president of the Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association, and chairman of the Advisory Board for the Office of Mississippi Physician Workforce.
